The search for YTM’s new CEO has concluded. Elina Antila, who has been serving as the COO at YTM, has been selected for the role. Antila brings a diverse background in business management and consulting to her new position. She will assume her duties on September 1, 2024.
YTM’s current CEO, Ari Numminen, will transition to a role with our owner, Indutrade, where he will also serve as the Chairman of YTM’s Board. Numminen commented on the selection: “I am very pleased that we have such a capable and motivated leader for YTM, someone who already knows the company and has been involved in implementing strategic development projects alongside the management team. Elina was the most suitable candidate for the position, and I am confident that under her leadership, YTM’s growth journey will progress decisively.”
Elina Antila expressed her enthusiasm for her new role: “I thank the board and Ari Numminen for their trust. Ari has done a fantastic job at YTM, and we will continue to build on that legacy together. I was interested in the CEO position because I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at YTM, find the company’s business fascinating, and want to drive the growth strategy forward. I believe that at YTM, I can make full use of my expertise.”
Antila joined YTM in the summer of 2023, initially leading the renewal of the operating model, and later developing and leading sales and other strategic projects. She found YTM’s business interesting, and more importantly, the company’s team spirit quickly won her over: “People and organizational culture always win my heart. That’s what gives work meaning. Most importantly, YTM has a forward-looking and evolving approach, which is very important to me.”
Before starting her new role, Antila will enjoy a bit of the Finnish summer with her loved ones and live music, but come fall, she will get down to business with the team and meet important stakeholders: “My goal is to meet both customers and principals as soon as possible. It is clear that YTM’s primary task remains to create added value for both customers and principal partners every day.”
